Conservation/Activism
The Washington, D.C. Chapter of the Sierra Club is actively involved
in preservation of parklands, promotion of good environmental policy,
and work for a cleaner environment here, in our region. Join us in our
progress toward restoration of our rivers, a sensible transportation
policy for the greater metropolitan Washington area, improved recycling
and waste reduction practices, cleaner air, and healthier parkland.
This web site and our quarterly newsletter Capital Sierran provide a
wealth of information on some of our recent activities. As you read,
don't hesitate to contact the leaders listed for issues that interest
you. Or, if you have general conservation questions or don't know who
to call, contact Bob Morris,
(202) 548-8240. Check out our requests
for volunteers. We WANT to hear from you! We deeply appreciate
your support and participation. The Sierra Club works because people
like you get involved!
